BULLETIN BOARD The Heart of New Jersey Chorus, Freehold, will hold rehearsals Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Middletown Road and Crawfords Corner-Everett Road, Holmdel. Rehearsals will take place until the end of September. The female chorus consists of 55 members from Monmouth, Middlesex and Mercer counties. Over the Rainbow to perform ‘The Rainmaker’ Over the Rainbow Productions will present the romantic comedy The Rainmaker, by N. Richard Nash, from Sept. 21-Oct. 7 at the Eatontown Playhouse, Route 35, Eatontown. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $17 and $15 for seniors and students (evening shows), and $16 and $10 (matinees). Call (732) 460-0100. ‘Klezmer Meets Jazz’ at Deal center Sept. 23 The Ruth Hyman Jewish Community Center of Greater Monmouth County, 100 Grant Ave., Deal, will present "Klezmer Meets Jazz" on Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the center. Monmouth announces performing arts events Monmouth University’s Pollak Theatre has announced its 2001-02 schedule of performing arts events. The university is on Route 71, West Long Branch. Ticket prices range from $10-$59. All shows are at 8 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Performers and dates are: Dar Williams, Sept. 28; Joshua Redman Quartet, Sept. 29; Caution, Men at Work: Tap On, Oct. 6; Dr. John, Nov. 4 (7 p.m.); and Natalie MacMaster Nov. 11 (7 p.m.). Theater seeks musical director for 2002 shows Over the Rainbow Productions, 37 Route 35, Eatontown, is currently seeking musical directors for three musicals in 2002. Theater calendar, guides available from alliance The New Jersey Theatre Alliance, Madison, is currently offering a free calendar which details the entire season’s offerings for its consortium of theaters. Local alliance theaters are the New Jersey Repertory Company, Long Branch; and Two River Theatre Company, Red Bank. The alliance is also offering the "Theatre Sampler Series" with three tickets for events at three different theaters for $60, a 50 percent discount. The alliance’s "Savvy Singles Guide" is also available and lists theaters offering pre- or post-play receptions aimed at single theatergoers. Performances Saturday at 2:15 p.m. The theater’s next production will be Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen plus a "Holiday Potpourri" Oct. 13. The show will run each Saturday until January.
