St. George’s ‘Canterbury Fair’ slated for June 14

St. George’s-by-the-River Church, Waterman Avenue, Rumson, will hold its "Canterbury Fair" June 14 from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. (rain or shine). The free event will feature games, baked goods, a silent auction, plants and flowers, and other items.

United Methodist Church festival June 7

The United Methodist Church of Red Bank, 247 Broad St., will hold its straw­berry festival June 7 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will feature carnival games for children, food and a garage sale.

Applications now taken for preschool program

Red Bank Regional (RBR) High School’s preschool lab class will conduct a preschool program beginning next fall, un­der the direction of child development teacher Susan Eads. The sessions will be­gin in early October, with classes sched­uled for Wednesday-Friday from 9:15-10:45 a.m.

School staff hopes to enroll 15 children, with qualification being that the child be age 3 or 4, and toilet trained. Classes will be in RBI’s child development classroom at the school at Ridge Road, Little Silver.
