Lecture by ‘Global Mom’ author slated for Dec. 13

The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation will welcome author Lana Noone for a lecture Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. The program will be held at the Vietnam Era Educational Center, Holmdel. Admission is a $5 donation per person.

Noone will discuss her book "Global Mom: Notes From a Pioneer Adoptive Family." She and her husband, Byron, adopted two daughters from Vietnam during the "Babylift" in 1975, and a son from Korea. The book describes how her family combined faith, insight and humor to deal with issues such as separation anxiety, racism, and helping the children connect to their heritage. She is currently writing a film script based on her book.

Attendees are asked to R.S.V.P. to (732) 335-0033.
