For the second consecutive year, Red Bank fiber artist Beverly Hertler will be a participating artist in the New Jersey Arts annual exhibit at the Noyes Museum of Art in Galloway Township. The exhibit, which will run Jan. 9 through March 13, is a series of juried exhibitions highlighting recent works by visual artists and crafts people working in the state.

An award-winning fiber artist, Hertler’s "Wedding Quilt" will be included in the exhibit, which has the theme "Cache: New Horizons in Crafts." The quilt recently won an award at a fiber art show sponsored by the Cleveland County Arts Council in Shelby, N.C.

The exhibit is co-sponsored by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, the Jersey City Museum, the Montclair Art Museum, the Morris Museum, The Newark Museum, the New Jersey State Museum and The Noyes Museum of Art.

Over the Rainbow Productions will present "Other People’s Money" Jan. 9-25 at the Eatontown Playhouse, Tower Market Shopping Center, Route 35. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 and $12 for seniors and students. The theater company’s youth group will also present a musical review Jan. 10, 11 and 18 at noon for children ages 3 and up. Tickets are $12. For reservations, call (732) 888-0339.

Red Bank’ s own Two River Theatre Company will present the New Jersey premiere of "Abigail’s Party" Jan. 15-Feb. 1. The satiric and hilarious cult classic by filmmaker Mike Leigh takes theatergoers back to the ’70s. Performances are at the Algonquin Arts Theatre, 171 Main St. in Manasquan. Ticket prices are $19-$35. A sign-interpreted performance will be presented Jan. 22 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 and reservations are required. The Arcadian Chorale will hold open auditions Jan. 20 and 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Matawan, Route 34 at Franklin Street. The chorale will begin its 11th season in the spring with the concert "One Hand, One Heart." The repertoire will include Faure’s "Requiem," Bernstein’s "Chich-ester Psalms" and his choruses from "West Side Story." Membership in the chorale is free and rehearsals begin Jan. 20 at 7 p.m., following auditions. NENA Productions will present "Twelfth Night" one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies at the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Neptune. Nick Montesano will direct. Performances are Jan. 16, 17, 23 and 24 at 8 p.m. and Jan. 18 at 3 p.m. at the arts center, which is located at Main Street and Main Avenue at the entrance to Ocean Grove. Tickets are $20 and are available at the arts center or at The Starving Artist at Days Restaurant in Ocean Grove and at Pathways Market, The Loft, Gingerbreads and Gifts by Tina, all Ocean Grove. Vintage films to be screened at the Eastern Branch of the Monmouth County Library in Shrewsbury include: Jan. 22, "Scandal in Paris" starring George Sanders and Signe Hasso; and Jan. 29, "Scarlet Street" starring Edward G. Robinson and Joan Bennett. The free screenings will take place at 7 p.m. at the library, which is located at 1001 Route 35.
