"Kids First! Film and Video Festival 2004" will take place Feb. 7 at the Middlebrook Galleria Cinemas in Ocean Township, Route 35 south.

The statewide festival is sponsored by the Coalition for Quality Children’s Media. Now in its fifth year, the film and video festival is a showcase for new and classic children’s films and videos from studios, independent producers, and children worldwide. Admission is $5.

The festival reflects a variety of titles that are shown in clusters for four recommended age groups — ages 2-5, 6-8, 9-12 and 12-15 — so that families can conveniently attend back-to-back showings of titles appropriate for their children’s ages. Titles shown are free of gratuitous violence, bias or sexual content and are age appropriate.

Titles will include: for ages 2-5, "Little Polar Bear," "Oswald: On the Go Oswald" and "Yo Yes?" For ages 5-8, the film include "Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Kids" and "Rescue Heroes: The Movie."
