‘Pilates Mat Workout’ to begin Feb. 10

The Monmouth County Park System will offer a "Pilates Mat Workout" Feb. 10 through March 23 at Henry Hudson Trail Activity Center, Route 36, Leonardo. Classes will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m., and cost is $40 per person.

"Love Grows," for children age 7-12, will be offered Feb. 12 from 4-6 p.m. at Thompson Park craft center, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown. Cost is $21 for the program, in which youngsters will create a photo display and Valentine flower arrangement. A trip to Mountain Creek for teens age 14 and older (parent must sign release) will also be Feb. 12 and will depart Thompson at 3:30 p.m. Cost is $25 for transportation and Park System leader (lift tickets are $39). The area offers downhill skiing and snowboarding.

The "Sunday Smilers" series will continue Feb. 15 from 2-2:45 p.m. with "Circus Stuff" at Tatum Park Red Hill Activity Center, Red Hill Road, Middletown. Tickets are $9 per person for the one-woman circus show by Lisa Lou. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The Park System’s annual E. Murray Todd Half-Marathon will be Feb. 29 at 9 a.m. at Brookdale Community College, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft. Cost is $20, and registration must be completed by Feb. 20. The 13.1-mile course covers rural and residential areas of Lincroft, Holmdel, and Colts Neck.
