College continues Black History Month events

Brookdale Community College, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown, will continue its celebration of Black History Month with a free lecture by author Pearl Duncan, "Using DNA to Trace Our Human Ancestry," Feb. 17 at 11:45 a.m.

A free concert by Keith Marks and Company will be presented Feb. 25 at 11:30 a.m. For more information on the lecture or concert, call (732) 224-2500.

The lecture "African Paradigms for African American Realities" is scheduled for Feb. 26 at 11:45 a.m. and 7 p.m. The lecture will be given by author Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., senior pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ, Chicago. The 11:45 a.m. lecture is free, and a $8 fee will be charged for the evening lecture (free to current Brookdale students with valid identification). For tickets or more information, call (732) 224-2315.

All events will be held at the Student Life Center.
