CPC Behavioral Healthcare, Middletown, raised $68,000 at its spring golf tournament, held at Hollywood Golf Club, Deal. The fund-raiser drew 160 golfers. Proceeds will benefit CPC’s mission to support children and families in emotional crisis.

CPC also announced that Fair Haven resident Greg Maloof has joined its board of trustees. Maloof is president of Maloof & Ellis Management, Lyndhurst. He serves as a member of the Fair Haven Zoning Board and is treasurer on the executive board of the Community Housing Improvement Program, New York City. He and his wife, Nancy, are the parents to a son, Clark, and a daughter, Paige.

The Arc of Monmouth, Tinton Falls, recently held its annual membership meeting and presented its slate of officers for FY 2005, with Rhona L. Levy, Point Pleasant Beach, elected as president. Middletown resident Philip Fina was elected first vice president, and Richard Kammerer, Holmdel, second vice president. Rich Harter, Cream Ridge, will serve as secretary, and Rumson resident Robert Gura as treasurer. Assistant secretary is Theodore Stieve, Fair Haven, and D. Roderick Webster, Little Silver, will serve as assistant treasurer. Immediate past president is Randall B. Smith, Middletown. Also joining the board will be former Monmouth Beach resident Warren Vogel, New York City.

Pathmark Stores Inc., Carteret, has announced the "Quest to Make a Difference" fund-raising effort for The Arc will take place July 16-Aug. 1 at 10 Pathmark stores in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Customers at each store may purchase a donation card in the amount of $1, $3 or $5, and each card will be hung in the store as a "wall of fame" to show customers’ donations. Proceeds will benefit The Arc’s programs and services for individuals with mental retardation and related disabilities.

Jeffrey Burke, West Long Branch, received the Employee of the Month award for June from Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Burke, a 34-year hospital employee, is a medical media specialist at Monmouth. He was commended for resuming full-time work following a seven-month medical leave of absence.

Burke joined Monmouth after serving in the Navy specializing in damage control and firefighting. He has been its medical media specialist since 1969 and is responsible for providing photographic and audiovisual services for clinical, professional presentation and publication, and public relations purposes. Burke attended the School of Visual Arts, New York City, prior to enlisting in the Navy. He has an associate’s degree from Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown, and completed a two-year equivalency program in electronics at DeVry Institute of Technology, Chicago.

Professional Orthopaedic Associates, which has offices in Marlboro, Tinton Falls and Toms River, announced that Dr. Glenn Gabisan has joined the practice. Gabisan specializes in sports medicine, trauma, orthopaedic reconstruction and arthroscopic surgery of the foot, ankle and lower extremities. Gabisan attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he received the Dean’s Letter of Commendation. After an internship in general surgery, he completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He then completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He is board eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
