      11th annual KDM fun run to be March 10
           The 11th annual KDM three-mile fun run and walk will be held March 10 rain or shine. The race, created to keep the spirit of Keith McHeffey and other victims of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 alive, will start at 11 a.m. in front of the Sea Bright Recreation Center. It will proceed south to the Monmouth Beach border and return to the recreation center. Registration opens at 9 a.m.

      Emergency Response open house Feb. 25
           ShoreArea Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Eatontown Firehouse on Broad Street, Eatontown. Residents from Eatontown, Little Silver, Oceanport, Red Bank, Shrewsbury, Tinton Falls and West Long Branch are welcome to attend.

      Little Silver FD slates annual St. Pat’s party
           The Little Silver Volunteer Fire Company announced its fourth annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be held 3-10 p.m. March 17. Hosted at the Little Silver Firehouse, this family-friendly community event will include traditional Irish fare, open wine and beer bar, soft drinks and live music. In addition, children’s games and activities will be organized until 7 p.m.
