The Rumson-Fair Haven High School boys lacrosse team outlasted Jackson Memorial in the Shore Conference Tournament final, edging the Jaguars, 9-8, to remain undefeated as the state tournament gets under way. The SCT final was played May 16 at Holmdel High School.

Mauriello, Mandato win Wall Sportsman twins

Young stock car racing stars Eric Mauriello of Howell and Jonathan Mandato of Jackson shared top honors atWall Stadium on May 19 as each racer tasted victory in a Sportsman division 25- lap main event. While it was Mauriello’s eighth career win and his second on the young season, Mandato’s victory was his first win in full-size stock car competition.
