Red Bank ‘police state’ is getting out of hand

It seems to be that little ol’ Red Bank is becoming a "police state." We, the residents, have to put up with limited space on the sidewalks – re: tables — but the shopkeepers have no right to advertise?

Is a freedom being slowly eroded from the little society of this town? Mayor Edward J. McKenna and his group have gone a little too far now!

A neon sign or a printed sign in the window is against the law; oh yes, the police cannot look in to see if something illegal is happening. The power of the press and freedom of speech are being infringed upon and the townspeople better get involved or this can lead to more "erosion."

Remember when Madalyn Murray O’Hair wanted to rid the schools of prayer and everyone laughed and said it couldn’t happen. … Well, guess what? It did!

To keep Red Bank as an asset and not as liability — it once was — each one of us should come to the aid of the shopkeepers. Advertising is one of the ways to keep this town alive.
