Guild to accept juried show entries Oct. 3-4

The Guild of Creative Art, 620 Broad St., Shrewsbury, will accept entries for its ninth annual juried state show on Oct. 3 from noon to 4:30 p.m., and Oct. 4 from noon to 7 p.m. Pick up of declined work may be done Oct. 5 from 3-4 p.m., and Oct. 6 from noon to 4 p.m.

The show is scheduled for Oct. 14 from 3-5 p.m.

The fee for art submission is $10 per entry (members) and $15 (nonmembers). Specifications for entries may be checked with the gallery prior to delivery.

Artist Roberta Carter Clark will be this year’s show judge. Currently included in Who’s Who in American Art and Who’s Who in American Women, she is the author of two books and her work is featured in 15 additional books.

The show’s first prize is $500, with a second prize of $250, third prize of $100, and three honorable mentions. The Edward T. Kajola award, named in honor of artist and long-time Guild member Ed Kajola, will be awarded for the first time this year.
