Community YMCA to offer free counseling services to those in need

On behalf of The Community YMCA, I know all of you will join me in praying for the individuals and families affected by last week’s senseless acts. In the midst of crisis and tragedy, the YMCA stands for values and high morality in the face of terrorism and violence.

Our programs and services will continue, as we participate in the physical and spiritual healing of our members, our community and our nation. Specifically, the YMCA will offer assistance to staff, volunteers, children, families, friends and the community-at-large in the form of free counseling services.

There will be licensed clinicians available between the hours of 3-8 p.m. at both the Family Services branch, 166 Main St., Matawan, and our Red Bank branch, 166 Maple Ave.

For more information on counseling services, call the family services branch at (732) 290-9040, ext. 0.

      Richard W. Pollock
