      Workshops offered for child care center directors

      Child Care Services of Monmouth County, Freehold, will offer a workshop series for directors of child care centers beginning in March.

      Presenters include early-childhood professor Rick Ellis and attorney Ron McGuckin. Topics will include "What to Do in a Crisis," "Developing a Vision With Your Staff," and "Building Relationships With Parents and Community."

      Globetrotters tickets available

      Tickets are now available for the Harlem Globetrotters game March 20 at 7 p.m. at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown. Tickets are $18; "magic circle" tickets are also available.

      The Harlem Globetrotters have pledged a $1 donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund for each mile traveled by team buses in the United States during the upcoming season.

      Music conservatory offers

      summer ‘Opera Camp’

      The Monmouth Conservatory of Music, Red Bank, will offer a two-week summer "Opera Camp" for children in grades 7-12. The camp will be held weekdays July 15-26 from 9 a.m. to noon. Tuition is $200, and an audition is required. The camp will be an intensive introduction to singing and acting opera, and scenes will be performed at the end of the camp.
