Free programs offered by SCAN throughout Jan.

Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, will offer a free blood pressure screening for Senior Citizens Activities Network (SCAN) members Jan. 8 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The screening will be held at SCAN Learning Center, Monmouth Mall, Eatontown.

Other programs scheduled at the learning center include a Parkinson’s disease support group meeting Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. Attendees may then participate in "Ease into Exercise" from 11 a.m. to noon. The Monmouth Easy Breathers, an adult pulmonary support group, will meet Jan. 9 from 2-3:30 p.m.

"The Importance of Maintaining a Healthy Weight" will be presented Jan. 15 from 1-2:30 p.m. "The Blues, Blahs and Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.)" will be presented Jan. 20 from 1-3 p.m. "A Guide to Preventing and Managing Knee and Shoulder Pain for Older Adults" will be presented Jan. 22 from 1-3 p.m.
