The Monmouth Civic Chorus, Red Bank, will hold auditions for new members April 1 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 65 W. Front St., Red Bank. The chorus rehearses Tuesdays from 7:30-10 p.m., September-June.

Auditions for the Chorus’ vocal scholarships will be held May 10 (appointment only) at United Methodist Church, 247 Broad St., Red Bank. A total of $1,500 is available for winners.

Improvisation workshop at area church April 5

The United Methodist Church, 247 Broad St., Red Bank, will sponsor the workshop "Improvisation: Skills for Every Stage of Life" by actress Daena Giardella April 5 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Private coaching will be offered April 6, and there is a fee for both the workshop and coaching.

Giardella has performed her one-woman improvisational show for 20 years. Her workshop will involve improvisation techniques through exercises, scene/monologue development, and interactive coaching.
