TINTON FALLS — Celebrities, sports stars and Broadway hoofers will join more than 120 golfers at the Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle on Monday for a full 12 hours of play, entertainment, and fun.

The event was designed to raise scholarship money for area youngsters, in the first major event of the season organized and hosted by Holiday Express.

The golfers will tee off beginning at 10:30 a.m. and play will continue all day, ending with a fund-raising dinner with entertainment provided by members of Holiday Express. The day will also include a golf clinic presented by Brent Studer of the PGA.

One of the day’s highlights will be a Million Dollar Shoot-Out. Here, selected individuals will have a chance to hit a single ball with the opportunity to share in the winnings with Holiday Express. In addition, there will be two opportunities to win cars by hitting a hole-in-one on the sixth hole, or the signature 15th hole. There are still some sponsorships available, however, as well as tickets for the cocktail party and dinner for $125.
