Trustees extend thanks for support during move

The trustees of Preservation Red Bank want to express our thanks to Red Bank’s residents, business owners, police officers, fire and first aid members, elected officials, members of the Coalition to Save the Century House ... all of those who came together as a community to save this important piece of Red Bank’s history.

Our volunteer organization is united by a single cause — to preserve Red Bank’s distinctive character

Our goal is to work with the community to find creative solutions to preserve historic structures, sometimes by identifying alternative uses for threatened buildings. The move that saved the Century House and its future role as a school accomplishes this goal.

What is most important, however, is this goal was accomplished by an unprecedented outpouring of community support. There is no question that May 4 was a long day for all of us, but your patience and support helped to save an integral part of Red Bank’s rich history and for that we are truly grateful.

      Rob Cressen
