Oceanport or Sea Bright parents with preschool children ages 3-5 or attaining age 3 within the next year, or school-age children ages 6-14, who may be experiencing physical, sensory, communication, cognitive or social difficulty, are asked to call the Oceanport Township Office of Special Services at (732) 229-8851 to arrange an appointment and/or referral to a child study team.

The school district is responsible for locating and evaluating all children who may be disabled, according to a press release. Children who are highly mobile, such as migrant and homeless children, are also included in the township’s Child Find efforts.
