Mrs. Rodman, 80, of Tinton Falls died Aug. 11 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Raised in Ohio, she had been a resident of Monmouth County since 1947. Mrs. Rodman was a homemaker. She was a former volunteer with the Visiting Nurse Association and a former PTA officer. She also served as a Cub Scout den leader and was a member of the American Association of University Women. Mrs. Rodman was predeceased by a son, Glenn S. Rodman, in 1993. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, H. Glenn Rodman; a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Kathryn Rodman of Colts Neck; and two grandchildren. A memorial gathering was held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Paul A. Tuthill
Mr. Tuthill, 50, of Red Bank died Aug. 11 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He resided in Washington, D.C., before moving to Red Bank eight years ago. Mr. Tuthill was a sergeant with the U.S. Army before his retirement, having served during the Vietnam era. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Anne; his parents, Joan and Warren Tuthill of Fairfax, Va.; two sons, Lucas Tuthill of Richmond, Va., and Taylor Tuthill of Red Bank; two daughters, Lisa Compton of Gainesville, Va., and Katie Tuthill of Richmond, Va.; four brothers, Warren Jr., Shawn, Byron and Brandan; six sisters, Colleen Smith, Sheila Denise Birtles, Helen Karcher, Erin Driver, Desiree Church and Shannon Stratton; and two grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft section of Middletown. Interment was at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. Arrangements were by the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick 08902.
Mary A. Petrick
Mrs. Petrick, 88, of Tinton Falls died Aug. 9 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She had resided in Flushing, N.Y., before moving to Tinton Falls in 1968. Mrs. Petrick was a homemaker. She was a member of Luther Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tinton Falls, where she was a member of the Altar Guild. She was a past member of the Metedeconk River Yacht Club. Mrs. Petrick was predeceased by her husband, Harry J. Petrick, in 1989. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Anna M. Becker of Tinton Falls, and Kathy and Robert Wilson Jr. of Teaneck; a sister, Dorothy Diehl of Salem, Ohio; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Interment was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. The John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, was in charge of arrangements. Mildred P. Plum Russell
Mrs. Russell, 79, of Keyport, died Aug. 16 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Virginia, she resided in the Aberdeen and Keyport area the past 10 years. She was a homemaker. Prior to that, she was employed at Surray Luggage, Red Bank, and Helene’s Dress Shop, Shrewsbury. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Russell in 1990. She is survived by two sons, Donald Russell of Little Silver, and Hamilton Russell of Sea Bright; two daughters, Connie Russell of Brielle, and Patricia Dirner of Morganville; a brother, Joseph Plum of Idaho; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be Aug. 18 from 10-11 a.m. at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.
