‘Harvest Pancake Breakfast’ Oct. 30

The Shrewsbury Monthly Meeting, Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) will hold a “Halloween Harvest Pancake Breakfast” Oct. 30 from 8-11 a.m. at the Shrewsbury Quaker Meetinghouse, Route 35 and Sycamore Avenue, Shrewsbury. Admission is $5, $3 for children younger than age 12, and free for children younger than age 3.

The event is the first of several Quakers plan to hold to raise funds toward the repair and restoration of the historic meetinghouse. Quakers will discuss the history of the Shrewsbury Quaker Meeting and the meetinghouse, and the need to repair and restore the building.

The menu will include pancakes, sausage, hot chocolate, and coffee and tea, with leftovers donated to Lunch Break, Red Bank. For details, call Lee at (732) 775-3670 or e-mail gladmax@verizon.net.
