Front Street Trattoria in Red Bank is hosting an exhibit of photographs of “The Gates,” the outdoor installation that had visitors to New York’s Central Park talking about the nature of art — and the difference between saffron and orange.
Printed on fabric and hung to move at the slightest breeze, much like “The Gates” themselves, the photos are the work of Red Bank resident Patricia Russoniello, who visited Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s project repeatedly throughout its 16-day run last February. Her aim, Russoniello said, was to document “The Gates” at various times of day and in all kinds of weather. The photographs will remain on display through Sept. 30. Front Street Trattoria is located at 31 W. Front St.
