Timothy J. McMahon
Mr. McMahon, 64, of Fair Haven, died Nov. 5 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was the restaurant manager at the Dublin House, Red Bank. He also worked with private construction contractors, and prior to that, was an adjunct history professor at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. He was a communicant of and usher at Church of The Nativity, Fair Haven. He was a local historian, lecturer, journalist, authored two books on New Jersey history, and lectured on the history of Monmouth County in both Monmouth and Ocean counties. He is survived by two cousins, Mary Ellen Anfuso of Long Branch, and Thomas O’Brien of South Carolina. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Church of The Nativity. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. Memorial donations may be made to Parker Family Clinic, 211 Shrewsbury Ave., Red Bank 07701.
Catherine Ann “Cathy” Voss
Miss Voss, 49, of Tinton Falls, died Nov. 7 at home. She was born in Little Silver. She received her master’s degree at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, and was a counselor at United Cerebral Palsy of New York for several years. She enjoyed time with her family. She was predeceased by her mother, Dolores Voss in 1985, and her father, James W. Voss Sr. in 1999. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, James W. and Cindy Voss Jr. of Little Silver; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan M. and Kevin Vliet of Toms River; and one niece and one nephew. A memorial service was held Nov. 19 at Embury United Methodist Church, Little Silver. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
