TRTC’s ‘Syringa Tree’ to open March 24

Two River Theatre Company (TRTC), Red Bank, will present “The Syringa Tree” March 24-April 10 at the Algonquin Arts Theatre, Main Street, Manasquan.

The off-Broadway play concerns the story of enduring love between two South African families, one black and one white, as seen through the eyes of a young girl. The Obie Award-winning play follows the families from apartheid to the present day.

Performance times are Thursday-Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Special performances will be held April 2 and 9 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., and April 6 at 1 p.m. Tickets range from $24-$40. For tickets or more information, call (732) 345-1400 or visit www.trtc.org.
