The Shrewsbury Gymnastics Level C Girls Team competed in the JOGA (Jersey Optional Girls Association) State Meet held at Envision Gymnastics in Eastampton on Feb. 12-13. The results were as follows:

In the 8-9 age group, Amy Stevens (River Plaza), competing despite an illness that almost hospitalized her a mere three days before the event, became the Balance Beam State Champion with a score of 8.15. Bailey Bestle (West Long Branch), placed 10th in the state on balance beam with a score of 6.45.

In the 10-year-old age group, Jessica Doscher (Little Silver) placed fourth on vault with an 8.2, 14th on uneven bars with a 6.3, seventh on floor exercise with a 7.575, and 11th in the state in the all-around with a 28.725.

In the 12-year-old age group, Erin Hussey (River Plaza), placed 11th on vault with an 8.2, 12th on uneven bars with a 6.75, 11th on balance beam with a 6.95, and third on floor exercise with an 8.2. Erin won fourth in the state in the all-around.

Meryll Newman (Little Silver), placed 15th on Balance Beam with a score of 6.75, and 15th on floor exercise with a score of 7.4. Christine Levantino (Fair Haven) competed with distinction.
