Sea Bright’s Oceanfront Fireworks show will be held on Monday beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the borough’s public beach located off Ocean Avenue. Tim McLoone and his band will play until about 9:15 p.m., when the fireworks begin. Rain date for the fireworks only is Tuesday. The Red Bank Public Library is holding a free summer reading program for children from grades pre-K to 6.

Simply check out five books, print out the authors’ names and titles of the books in one log, and turn the log into the library, and you are enrolled.

For every five books read, children earn a weekly raffle ticket and an invitation to an awards ceremony party at the end of the summer.

The Grove at Shrewsbury and Sickles Market will celebrate their monthlong garden tours with a final garden tour and a garden tea party with special guest speaker, garden expert David Wilson, on Saturday, July 2.

The event will start with the garden tour at 8 a.m. at The Grove on Route 35 in Shrewsbury. The garden party will begin at around 9:30 a.m. The event is free, but reservations are required. Call Rhona Stevens at (732) 933-8382 for reservations.

Although the calendar says summer, it’s not too early to purchase tickets for the Dec. 14 Holiday Express Christmas Spectacular at the Count Basie Theatre.

Tickets are $100, $50, $35 and $25, and are now on sale at the Count Basie box office. All proceeds benefit the mission of Holiday Express.

On Sunday, July 3, the annual Liberty Extravaganza will be held as part of the Tower Hill Concert Series at First Presbyterian Church, 255 Harding Road, Red Bank.

The festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with an old-fashioned strawberry festival, which will cost $3 for a homemade strawberry dessert and includes Dixieland jazz music provided by the Bourbon Street Band.

At 7:30 p.m., the Liberty Choir and Brass will present a patriotic concert featuring songs such as the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “You’re a Grand Old Flag.” A free will offering will be taken.
