Obituaries Kathleen S. Ziegler Mrs. Ziegler, 96, of Tinton Falls, died July 6 at Chelsea at Tinton Falls. Born in Philadelphia, she resided in Interlaken prior to moving to Tinton Falls. She taught at Long Branch High School for 20 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Monmouth County, New Jersey and National Education Associations, and Long Branch School Employees Association. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel J. Ziegler in 1991; and two brothers, Dr. Paul J. Strassburger and Albert L. Strassburger. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Suzan Z. and Lester H. Mathis of Little Silver, and Mary Z. Hill of Tinton Falls; three grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was at Christ Church of Shrewsbury, followed by interment at the church cemetery. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
Patricia Ann Farinella Mrs. Farinella, 68, of Middletown, died July 8 at her daughter’s Tinton Falls home. Born in Newark, she had resided in Maplewood and Millburn before moving to Middletown 45 years ago. Mrs. Farinella was a homemaker and had been employed at New Jersey Bell Telephone Co., Millburn, for more than 10 yeas. She also worked at National State Bank, Union. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. Mrs. Farinella is survived by her husband of 45 years, Anthony Farinella; two daughters, Toni Farinella of Berkeley Heights and Jody Farinella of Tinton Falls; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Edward and Domenica Santora of Maplewood, and Richard Santora of Rahway; and three nephews. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements. Gloria Ruth Mainieri Sacco Mrs. Sacco, 82, of Atlantic Highlands, died June 14 at Care One at King James, Middletown. Born in Cliffside Park, she resided in Fair Haven for 30 years, Tucson and Colts Neck prior to moving to Atlantic Highlands in 1998. She was a homemaker. Prior to that, she was an artist and freelance illustrator for Vogue Magazine, New York City. She served as a Corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Joseph B. Sacco in 1995. She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Joseph A. and Faye Sacco, Paul Sacco and Roger Sacco, all of Atlantic Highlands; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Brian Bain of Escondido, Calif.; a sister, Pauline Hawkins of West Milford; and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Frank W. Lovekin Mr. Lovekin, 80, of Tinton Falls, died June 30 at home. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Little Silver prior to moving to Tinton Falls 46 years ago. He was a retired county detective for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a member and treasurer of the reunion committee of his Navy ship. He was a member of, and former usher and member of the restoration committee at Christ Church of Shrewsbury. He was a former member of the Tinton Falls Fire Department and First Aid Squad. His family owned Dennis’ Luncheonette, Little Silver, now Edie’s Luncheonette, for 41 years where he began working at age 9. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Charlotte Halloran Lovekin; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jennifer Leigh Lovekin of Tinton Falls, Cynthia Jeanne and Anthony Coviello of Leesburg, Va., and Patrice Anne and Stan Thornton of Tinton Falls; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one cousin. A funeral service was at Christ Church. Arrangements were by Braun Funeral Home, Eatontown. Memorial donations may be made to Christ Church of Shrewsbury, 380 Sycamore Ave., Shrewsbury 07702. Vincent Arrasate Mr. Arrasate, 69, of Red Bank, died July 10. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he resided Plattekill, N.Y, prior to moving to Red Bank. He was a resident and assistant manager at Colony House Apartments, Red Bank, the past 20 years. Prior to that, he was employed at Ford Motor Company, Mahwah and Edison, retiring after 35 years of service. He was also a police officer, as well as a member of the volunteer fire department and ambulance corps in Plattekill. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carol Arrasate; two stepdaughters, Patricia and her husband George Woodward of Deal; and Susan Jacobowitz of Red Bank; a stepson and his wife, Richard and Enza Jacobowitz of Jackson; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Fran Bachman of Edison; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Burial was at Most Holy Rosary Cemetery, Perth Amboy. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
