Summer adventure camps begin Aug. 8

Brookdale Community College, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown, will hold “Summer Adventure Camps” beginning Aug. 8. All camps run Aug. 8-12.

The “Little Artists Creative Workshop” is for children age 4 and grades pre-K and kindergarten. The camp will include drawing, painting and sculpting. Class code is XCHLC. “Artists at Work” is for children entering grades two and three, and will teach students how to use watercolor pencils and watercolor crayons. Course code is XCHLC 039.

“”Adventures in Art” for children entering grades two and three will feature arts and crafts related to “art in the city” subjects such as tall buildings, cars, and planes. Course code is XCHLC 074. “Kids Investigations” for children entering grades two and three will explore scientific investigations into the world of forensic science. Course code is XCHLC 070. The college will offer “What If — Wednesdays” information sessions for prospective new and returning students will be Aug. 10, 17 and 24 “Dreams Can Come True — It’s Up to You!” for women will be Aug. 25, with two sessions are available. Section one will be from noon-2 p.m., and two from 4-6 p.m. “The Open Door of Brookdale Will Open Doors for You!” will be Sept. 22, with two sessions available. Section one is noon-2 p.m., and two is 4-6 p.m.
