Notes “Housing the Homeless,” the 2005 annual Benefit Antique Show co-hosted by HABcore Inc., and Brookdale Community College, will take place Sept. 16-18 in the Collins Arena at the college’s Lincroft campus. The Source is a school-based program supporting the many needs of Red Bank kids. ***** The Monmouth County Human Relations Commission will host a workshop on employment issues for foreign-born workers on Oct. 9, beginning immediately after mid-day Mass at Jesus the Lord Church, 123 Broad St., Keyport. The workshop will cover wages and hours, law and labor, the N.J. Law Against Discrimination and the importance of paying taxes. The conference is open to all, with some sessions presented in Spanish. The title of his discussion is “Military Registration, Conscription and Draft Counseling.” He will provide factual information regarding the current state of military recruiting and the selective service system. The presentation will being at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 5 in the Shrewsbury Quaker Meeting House on Broad Street. There will be a question and answer session following the presentation which is free and open to the public. Admission is $5 with proceeds to benefit the restoration and preservation of MCHA’s historic properties.
