Support for guest worker program
As a resident of Red Bank for nearly 25 years, I have seen many changes. From "Dead Bank" two decades ago, it has risen to become one of New Jersey's most desirable communities.
Many have contributed to "Hip Town's" success. I am dismayed when I hear Latinos maligned by those of the Congressman Sensenbrenner mentality. Returning illegal aliens to their country of origin at this point in time would be very costly, unenforceable, unrealistic, un-American and most un-Christian.
The earned citizenship and guest worker proposals by Sens. Kennedy and McCain seems like a viable approach. Even President Bush is seeing the light.
