New Jersey Repertory Company in Long Branch presents Gino DiIorio's unique love story, "Apostasy." Susan G. Bob, Evander Duck Jr. and Natalie Wilder star in the play about a middle-age Jewish businesswoman who reaches a crossroads in life and turns to a charismatic evangelist for guidance. New York-based singer/songwriters Julz A, James Vidos and Andrew Scandal are touring an eclectic Hip Hop cabaret caravan and will be performing at the Internet Cafe, 1 W. Front St. in Red Bank, today at 8 p.m. Julz A, Scandal and Vidos are three very different voices on the same map of alternative rock and pop music. Julz A is a rapping accordion player, Vidos is the epitome of modern cool on guitar, and the trio is strung together by the soulful grooves and powerful voice of Scandal with a powerful voice that even has a taste for free-style rapping. The Canning Company at the Shore Institute of Contemporary Art (SICA) presents a concert by Wayward Sons, also known as Rich Rose & Friends, tonight. "The Ultimate Artist," a photography and poetry exhibit featuring the works of Kulbir, is at the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center, 128 Ocean Ave. through July 29. The exhibit includes 24 photographs of Monmouth County landscapes accompanied by 24 inspirational poems. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday to Saturday. Red Bank-based band Woodfish will appear on the 12-part pilot television series "Jersey Shore Music TV" on Comcast TV on Monday, July 31, at 10 p.m. The band will perform three songs along with an interview. The band's first televised performance will be broadcast on Channel 83.

Two River Theater Company in Red Bank received a donation from the Verizon Foundation in support of its artist in residence program, "The Heroes Project." The grant will enable TRTC to expand its residency program to serve additional school districts following its launch last season in partnership with Long Branch High School.

The Heart of New Jersey Chorus, Sweet Adelines International, invites women to raise their voices in song with the chorus on Wednesday evenings.

The Mulheren family of Rumson, through their foundation JAM Anonymous, has pledged $1 million to kick off the Count Basie Theatre's capital campaign to renovate and rebuild the theater. The gift was announced at Basie's fourth annual Spring Benefit Concert and Gala.

The Monmouth Museum will host "Not Just for Women - Women's Night Out" celebrating women's ground-breaking contributions to art, 6-9 p.m. Aug. 16 at the museum, located on the Lincroft campus of Brookdale Community College.

The event will include refreshments, live music and a tour of the exhibit "How American Women Artists Invented Postmodernism: 1970-1975." The tour will be conducted by exhibit co-curators Judith Brodsky and Ferris Olin, of the Institute for Women and Art at Rutgers. The exhibit will run July 28-Sept. 3. The Friends of Photography camera club will sponsor an exhibit of selected works at the West Long Branch Library next month. "People, Places and Things I Remember" will include photos of points of interest in the U.S. and abroad. The Jewish Community Center of Greater Monmouth County and Temple Beth-El in Oakhurst have teamed up to co-sponsor a concert by multifaceted vocalist Julie Budd on Sunday, Aug. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Axelrod Performing Arts Center at the JCC, 100 Grant Ave., Deal.
