Return Red Bank to best interests of the people
I was disgusted by the most recent show of political shenanigans put on by the Red Bank Town Council. Removing John Curley as chair of the finance committee because of the failure of the chief financial officer is ridiculous. If anyone is made responsible for the actions of the chief financial officer, it should be the mayor himself (who is also responsible for our tax rate).
John Curley is and has always been an independent voice for the residents of Red Bank. He is and has always been an advocate for Red Bank. John Curley has worked to reduce overspending and overdevelopment - two things we have seen plenty of in the past 10 years, things which have forced many of our residents to move out of their homes. He has worked to protect Red Bank from things which have overtaken other towns - things like businesses bringing in hazardous waste material and traffic which would make our streets impassable.
Let's return Red Bank to a government based on what is in the best interests of the people who live in Red Bank. Let's have Councilman John Curley as mayor, and Mary Grace Cangemi and David Pallister as council people.
