The Oceanport United Methodist Church on Main Street will host a spaghetti dinner 5-7 p.m. Feb. 4.

Tickets for the event are $7 for adults, or $6 if purchased in advance, and $3 for children ages 2-11. The snow date is Feb. 11.

Family and friends of Fair Haven resident Suzanne Shanley, who is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer known as cervical adnocarcinoma, will host a “Have a Heart” gala Feb. 18 at the Shore Casino in Atlantic Highlands.

The Fair Haven Garden Club will award a $2,000 scholarship to a graduating senior from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School who has an interest in horticulture, environmental sciences, landscape design, botany or related subjects and plans to major in one of them at an accredited college or university. A free softball clinic for Red Bank girls will be held, starting Sunday, Jan. 29, and continuing on Feb. 5 and 12, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Red Bank Primary School.

Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School teachers will be learning ballroom dancing 7-9 p.m. Jan. 27 at the RFH cafeteria. The dance classes will be held to raise funds for the SEA Philanthropic Fund, which gives scholarships to two seniors each June.

Red Bank Regional High School will hold its annual blood drive on March 9 between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the field house at RBR.

Barbershop quartets from the Red Bank Chapter of the Chorus of the Atlantic will be available to sing for Valentine’s Day weekend, Feb. 11-14. Quartets will sing two sweetheart songs in barbershop harmony in settings including homes, businesses, offices, hospitals or other locations. The person serenaded will also receive a rose, photo of the presentation and a Valentine card from the person sending the musical greeting. Advance reservations by phone are necessary.
