RiverCenter is seeking performance artists such as mimes, clowns, poets, painters, magicians, puppeteers, stilt walkers, jugglers, and musicians for the 2006 StreetLife series of outdoor performances. RiverCenter encourages talented teenagers 16 years and older and adults to audition for the summer program on Wednesday, April 26, 6-8 p.m., at the Count Basie Rehearsal Studio, 2nd floor, 99 Monmouth St., Red Bank.

The Salvation Army will hold its annual dinner on Thursday, April 27, at 6 p.m. at the Oyster Point Hotel, 146 Bodman Place, Red Bank. This year's event will honor individuals who share a mission of service to the less fortunate and share The Salvation Army's vision and mission of community service. On April 29, HABcore will present "Broadway on Broad Street" featuring members of the Shrewsbury Chorale, which has provided the community with 49 years of musical excellence. The "friend raising" wine reception will be held 4-7 p.m. at the Woman's Club of Red Bank at 164 Broad St.

The Rev. Max Surjadinata will share his story of growing up in Indonesia, his work as a civil rights activist in Mississippi during the 1960s, and his experiences living for three months in Ramallah, on May 28 at Christ Church United Methodist in Fair Haven.

Barbara Davis Employment Services, a professional staffing firm located in Red Bank, will hold a month-long "Baby Bundle Drive" to assist at-risk mothers and families in need in Monmouth County.

In conjunction with United Way of Monmouth County, the agency is seeking donations of infant and baby supplies that will be distributed to area nonprofits and social service providers. Donations will be accepted until May 5 at Barbara Davis Employment, 68 White St., Red Bank, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. John Moses Cross, 17, a junior at Red Bank Regional High School and a third-generation Red Bank resident, will appear in concert at the Red Bank Middle School for a special one-night performance at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 5.

This evening of gospel music and inspirational songs is a benefit concert for Oprah's Katrina Fund and the Red Bank Middle School. The concert will be followed by a meet the artist reception. Tickets are $10. For more information, call (908) 902-2203.

The Fair Haven PTA will host a free lecture at 7:30 p.m. May 2 in the Knollwood School all-purpose room, with guest speaker Dr. Michael Thompson, a consultant, author and psychologist specializing in children and families.

The PTA will also host a free lecture with guest speaker Rachel Simmons, a pioneer in the exploration of schoolgirl cruelty, at 7:30 p.m. May 17 in the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School auditorium.

The Red Bank Chapter of Deborah Hospital Foundation is sponsoring a bus trip to Trump's Taj Mahal Casino-Hotel in Atlantic City on Thursday, April 20, departing from Shrewsbury Plaza on Route 35 and Shrewsbury Avenue at 9 a.m., returning at 6:30 p.m. Cost for the trip is $23, with a casino giveback of $20, plus $5 toward food. On Saturday, May 20 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the public is invited to a community yard sale at The Community YMCA of Red Bank's Fahey Outdoor Complex at 166 Maple Ave. Those wishing to sell items at the event can reserve a space for $25 if registered by May 12 or $35 after May 12. Tables can be brought in or rented for an additional $8 per table. Food vendors will be charged $100.

The Seniors of Little Silver will meet on May 21 a 1 p.m. at the clubhouse on Church Street in Little Silver for a musical program entitled "All Over This Land: American Regional Folk Music" presented by Saul Broudy. The event is free and open to the public.
