Registration under way for 'Saturday in Park 5K'

The Jersey Shore Running Club will host the 13th annual "Saturday in the Park 5K - Women Taking Steps to Help Women" Sept. 2 at Holmdel Park with registration at 8 a.m., the 5K at 9 a.m., and children's races at 10 a.m. Entry fee is $20 before Aug. 26, $25 after that date, and $5 for children's races.

Early registration discounted entry is offered to JSRC members and to participants in the 5K under age 20. Participants who raise $75 or more in pledges receive free entry. Team entries are accepted, with members receiving a $15 entry fee with registration before Aug. 26. Various team awards will be given ranging from $50-$150.

Sponsorship opportunities and donations for goodie bag items are still available.
