Meghan Chrisner, Fair Haven, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse (N.Y.) University, where she is a senior majoring in public relations.

James Kelley, Tinton Falls, has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at the College of Arts and Sciences at American University, Washington, D.C., where he is a sophomore majoring in philosophy.

Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, Pa., announced the following local students named to the dean's list for the spring semester:

Sara Alicia Moser-Cohen of Red Bank, a double major in senior government and sociology; and

Philip Edward Rehders of Rumson, a sophomore.

L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University announced the following local students named to the dean's list for the spring semester:

Jeremy Plofker of Fair Haven, a junior majoring in civil engineering;

David Kelley, Tinton Falls, a senior majoring in computer science; and

John Troynousky, Rumson, a sophomore majoring in civil engineer.

Two students from Red Bank Regional High School, Little Silver, have completed a three-week summer enrichment program under the auspices of the News Jersey Scholars Program at Lawrenceville School. Alayna Anderson and Katrina Wilson completed the program "Africa: the Sub-Sahara" which examined the subject through history, literature, art and the environment. The program included field trips to New York City museums, and a research project and presentation.
