High taxes for lousy education

How is it that Shore Regional proposes, the four feeder towns snap to attention like the Steadfast Tin Soldier, and nobody in any borough government raises a call to reject this unrepresentative call for $50 million to be spent improving a high school that is at best second-rate and that looks good only because the options around here are so wretched that they are not even on the table?

Shore is the best advertisement Red Bank Catholic and CBA ever had. Its arrogance in shoving a $50M proposal at the towns is beyond belief.

I live in Sea Bright, the runt of the litter. Not everyone here is rolling in money. We are certainly not rolling in money sufficient to sate the appetites of a school administration that thinks taxing us to death for lousy education amounts to an entitlement program.

Is this the 'burbs version of eminent domain?
