For the Record

In the Aug. 17 article on the Clearwater Festival, the reference to 25 times the level of dioxin mentioned by Ed Dlugosz was intended to refer to the level of octachlorodioxin (OCDD) that exists in Newark Bay, Arthur Kill and Newton Creek in Brooklyn, N.Y., which flow into the harbor and down to Sandy Hook and Raritan bays.

The actual OCDD levels in the bays are unknown at this time.
