Joseph T. Scalzo has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky. Cadets undergo training, which includes fundamental military skills, rifle marksmanship, small arms tactics, weapons training, drill and ceremonies, communications, and squad-level operations field training. A 2003 graduate of Shore Regional High School, West Long Branch, Scalzo is a student at the University of Delaware, Newark. He is the son of Andrew E. Rudoff and Linda Scalzo of Oceanport.

Army Pfc. Charles R. Booth has graduated from the Quartermaster and Chemical Equipment Repairer Advanced Individual Training course at Aberdeen (Md.) Proving Ground. The course is designed to train soldiers to perform direct and general support maintenance on chemical equipment, quartermaster machinery, air heaters and special purpose equipment. A 2001 graduate of Long Branch High School, he is the son of Shannon S. and Michael J. Booth of Long Branch.
