Community Bulletin Board CPC Behavioral Healthcare of Middletown will host a Culinary Adventure fundraiser on Oct. 23 at The Sheraton in Eatontown. The wine- and food-tasting event will be kicked off by a live cooking show by cajun Chef Scott Landry. More than 25 restaurants will serve up a gourmet tasting of their signature dishes. The event will also feature CPC's annual quilt raffle, lavish silent and gift auctions, plus live music by Dave Miller, of Long Branch. The Scott Landry Cooking Show will be held from 5:50-6:30 p.m. The food- and wine-tasting party will be held from 6-9 p.m. Advance registration is recommended; walk-ins will be accommodated on a space-available basis. Tickets for both events are $90. For the tasting only $70. United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 22, Sandy Hook, will offer "America's Boating Course" for four Mondays beginning Oct. 9 from 7-9 p.m. at Red Bank Regional High School, Hance Road, Little Silver (attendees should arrive at 6:30 p.m. for the first class). Museum's Harlem Renaissance trip Oct. 19 Monmouth Museum on the campus of Brookdale Community Campus, Lincroft section of Middletown, is offering a "Harlem Renaissance" trip Oct. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The tour will start at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, and continue with a walking/bus tour of the Renaissance sights of Harlem such as the dark tower, Jerry's Speakeasy, Duke Ellington's home and the Apollo Theater. Attendees will dine on soul food meal at a Harlem restaurants, and the day will end at the Dance Theater of Harlem. Cost is $85 for nonmembers, and $80 for members. A trip to the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City, will be Nov. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The trip will include a tour of the institute's costume and textile collections, and a self-guided tour of "Love and War: The Weaponized Woman." Woman's Club to hold meeting, casino trip The Woman's Club of Little Silver will hold its next regular meeting Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. The meeting will feature a speaker from the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County. A bus trip to Atlantic City will be Oct. 22, departing the clubhouse at 111 Church St. at 10 a.m. Cost is $30 for transportation, $18 for slots and an $8 food voucher.
