Police seek witnesses to hit-and-run

SHREWSBURY - A traffic accident on the northbound side of Shrewsbury Avenue, near Patterson Street, left a 20-year-old female pedestrian with multiple injuries, according to police.

Angelica Serrano, of Red Bank, was struck by a vehicle whose driver then left the scene of the accident on Sept. 26 sometime between 9-9:50 p.m.

She was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.

According to an investigation at the scene of the accident, the suspected vehicle is a 2004-2007 Toyota Corolla, which should have right front hood and grille damage.
