Gary T. Cox

Mr. Cox, of the West End section of Long Branch, died Dec. 23, 2006. Born in Hazleton, Pa., he graduated from the Mining and Mechanical Institute in Freeland, Pa., and the University of Delaware, Newark, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He spent his entire career with Mobil Oil Corp. and served in many positions, retiring in 1995 as manager of public affairs. He especially enjoyed playing golf at the Colts Neck Golf Club and spending time at the beach with his family. Mr. Cox was predeceased by his father, J. Nelson Cox. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Bobbie; two sons, Dr. Todd Cox and Bradford Deel, both of Washington, D.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Sean Rice of Rumson; his mother, Geraldine Cox of Marlton; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Don Patton of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and two granddaughters, Taylor and Morgan Rice. Funeral services were held at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, followed by entombment at Holmdel Cemetery & Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to Ranney School, c/o Gary T. Mildred Trocchia

Mildred "Millie" Trocchia, 85, a lifelong Red Bank resident, died Dec. 20, 2006, in Long Branch. She was a Red Bank High School graduate. Mrs. Trocchia worked as a cafeteria aide for the Red Bank school system for 18 years. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Andrew F. Trocchia; and three sisters, Mabel Richard, Mary Williams and Josephine Butler. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Wolfgang Pitsch of Brick, and Patricia and Richard Garlipp of Long Branch; a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew F. Jr. and Denise Trocchia of Fair Haven; a sister, Rose Chevy of Florida; eight grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, followed by interment at Mount Oliver Cemetery, Middletown. The John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 300 Second Ave., CW-6, Long Branch 07740.

Edward Frank Kennedy

Mr. Kennedy, 87, of South Amboy, died Dec. 24, 2006, at home. Prior to his retirement in 1984, he was employed as a welder with Jersey Central Power and Light Co., South Amboy, where he worked for 39 years. His wife, Jennie Paladino Kennedy, died in 2004. Surviving are two daughters, Maureen Kappes of Yonkers, N.Y., and Lorraine Kennedy of Little Silver; and two granddaughters. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
