RBR's 2nd annual Girls' Night Out
Red Bank Regional High School's second annual "Girls Night Out" event is back. Billed as an evening of "Celebrating the Feminine Mystique," the event will take place Jan. 19, from 6 to 10 p.m., at the Little Silver school.
Talk show personality Candace Kelley, host of "Another View" on NJ Network, will deliver the keynote address.
The itinerary for the night includes two workshops: one designed to empower high school girls titled "From Princess to Queen," the other will address the day-to-day concerns of women in strengthening their self-esteem.
Last year more than 100 girls, along with their mothers, turned out for this event, which is hosted by the school's fashion club and will raise funds so the club can attend New York Fashion Week in February.
School Days is a new feature in The Hub that will showcase school life, including upcoming events, special programs, awards, performances, art exhibits, community service and any other noteworthy happenings at public and private schools.
Sporting events will continue to be covered in the sports section of the newspaper.
Press releases can be faxed to (732) 870-6089 or e-mailed to hubeditor@gmnews.com. Please put "School Days" in the subject line along with the name and town of the school.
