      Brookdale men are hitting their stride after slow start
            Paul Cisek has become a film critic.Since surgery (on Jan. 7) has kept him away from games and practices, he has gotten a different look at his Brookdale Community College men's basketball team. He has been watching them on film. Thus far, the reviews have been positive. The Blues are on a four-game win streak and in a solid position to make the Region XIX tournament next month.

      Keller leads Hawks' assault on records
            Monmouth Univers-ity school records took a tumble at the Penn State Relays. Hawk athletes broke five school track and field records at the meet held in State College, Pa.             With cold weather finally moving into our area, charter boat and party boat captains exercised caution due to the wintry mix of ice, snow and wind. With gale warnings in effect, this is the time of year to stay on top of the marine forecasts and be willing to cancel a trip when questionable.
