      Two get thumbs up from Ivy League
            LITTLE SILVER - Red Bank Regional High School has announced that two students have been accepted to prestigious Ivy League colleges. Basketball co-captain Kyle Fitzgerald, Red Bank, is heading to Harvard University this fall. Classmate, Nina Cabrera, Little Silver, an avid theater performer, was informed that Yale has accepted her, although she has not made a final decision yet.

            LITTLE SILVER - Third- and fourth-graders at Little Silver Point Road School will participate in "Celebrating Differences in Learning Abilities Day" all day today. The program, consisting of five stations, each teaching about specific disabilities, was organized by parent volunteers.

            RED BANK - At the Red Bank Charter School, each grade adopts a service learning project, to foster a sense of responsibility and community connectedness in the students. This year, the second-grade students are very excited about their project, which was suggested by a parent who shared information about an organization that raises money for young girls in Vietnam.

      Event helps families with college aid forms
      Long Branch HS one of seven N.J. sites for Jan. 28 event
            LONG BRANCH - - The second annual New Jersey College Goal Sunday will take place Jan. 28 at Long Branch High School and seven other sites throughout the state. The event, hosted by Brookdale Community College, is dedicated to providing low-income students/first generation high school senior students with assistance in filing their financial aid forms.
