      The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Children's Festival was held Jan. 30 at the Rebecca Stafford Student Center at Monmouth University in West Long Branch. The Children's Festival coordinates with area schools to have local children visit the campus and learn about the legacy of Dr. King in a fun and creative festival environment.

IAMA to hold dinner, trip to Atlantic City
      The Italian American Memorial Association (IAMA), 195 Brighton Ave., Long Branch, will hold a spaghetti dinner Feb. 23 from 5-7:30 p.m., and the last Friday of each month. Cost is $7, $6 for seniors, $3 for children age 4-12, and free for children age 3 and younger. The menu will be "all you can eat" spaghetti dinner with homemade meatballs, and a surprise specialty pasta.
