A group of high school parents in Rumson and Fair Haven have organized a not-for-profit organization named BP Diamond Club, Inc. The purpose of the company is to solicit donations, which are tax deductible, to benefit the game of baseball in Rumson and Fair Haven. On March 4, the BP Diamond Club, Inc. will host its "First Pitch Cocktail Party" at Nauvoo Grill in Fair Haven from 4 to 7 p.m. The event will feature appearances by local, retired professional athletes, a silent auction, a live auction, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, an open bar, and hors d'oeuvres prepared by the wonderful and generous staff of Nauvoo Grill.

The live auction will feature some items autographed by local and national celebrities. For those with a child who loves baseball as much as this group, the night will provide an opportunity to meet many of the coaches and others that unselfishly devote their time to the game in Rumson and Fair Haven. For local businesses, there are still opportunities to support this event with a sponsorship. Please come out and support this cause.
