Dolores I. Finn Rocheford Mrs. Rocheford, 78, of Tamarac, Fla., died March 16, 2007, in Plantation, Fla. She resided in Red Bank prior to relocating to Tamarac 14 years ago. She was a retired sales associate at Steinbach's Department Store, Red Bank. She was a communicant at St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, Plantation, and former communicant of All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Sunrise, Fla., and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest J. Rocheford in 1981; a son, Ernest P. Rocheford in 2003; a brother, Thomas Finn Jr.; and three sisters, Catherine Graham, Margaret Munden and Mary Christman. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert S. and Carol Graham of Tamarac, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine A. Graham-Johnson and Dudley of Sunrise, Fla., and Sheila F. and Thomas Hague of Bradfordsville, Ky.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be March 22 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be March 23 at 10 a.m. at St. James Church. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
Carolyn N. Robbins Mrs. Robbins, 78, of Fair Haven, died March 8, 2007, at home. Born in Bridgeton, she resided in Fair Haven since 1958. She was a homemaker. She was a former member of Christ Church United Methodist, Fair Haven. She was a former Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed time with her family, and gardening. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph G. Robbins in 1969. She is survived by a son, John "Rick" Robbins of Fair Haven; two daughters and one son-in-law, Marlene Byram of Oceanport, and Joanne and William Harrington of Glade Hill, Va.; her companion, William Spreen; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
Ethel Vowinkel Mrs. Vowinkel, 85, of Red Bank, died Feb. 27, 2007, following a brief illness. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Vowinkel. She is survived by a son, Stephen; and two daughters, Susan and Sheila; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Church of the Holy Communion, Fair Haven. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. Mary P. Scalzo Mrs. Scalzo, 77, died March 13, 2007, at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation at Red Bank. Born in Fair Haven, she was a lifelong resident of the Fair Haven and Rumson area. She was a retired employee in the food service area at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, Rumson, where she was employed several years. She was a member and past president of the Fair Haven Fire Company Auxiliary, and former member of the Oceanic Fire Company Auxiliary, Rumson. She was a member of the New Jersey Education Association, and a former Union Stewart. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Michael Pelo; and an infant daughter. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Scalzo; a son, Frank A. Scalzo of Fair Haven; a daughter, Cathie C. Scalzo of Fair Haven; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. William H. Haugan Mr. Haugan, 78, of Red Bank, died March 81, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Sioux city, Iowa, he resided in Monmouth County for more than 43 years. He was a retired securities analyst at Merrill Lynch, New York City. Prior to that, he was employed at Shearson Lehman, New York City. He was an avid Yankees fan. He is survived by a son, Craig, with whom he resided; a brother, Laurens Haugan of Minnesota; and a sister, Audrey Dahlgren of Denver. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
