      Stop new bridge; help preserve shore towns
            The other day a 'Dear Neighbors' letter was distributed throughout my office in Sea Bright. A few days later, a similar letter ran in the local newspapers. Although I am a resident of Long Branch, I have spent every summer of my life in Sea Bright, even when I lived in North Jersey. Five years ago my beach club, Trade Winds, was demolished to build new homes.

      Bush foreign policy, not dissent, aids enemies
            I take offense at the comments of the writer of "No easy solution to end war in Iraq" (March 15) who claims that anti-war letters like mine "help our enemies." With all due respect to your newspaper, I don't think "our enemies" read The Hub of Red Bank, N.J. They are too busy blowing up American troops and Iraqi civilians to pay attention to local New Jersey newspapers.

      Reader rejects the phrase 'war on terror'
            The writer of "Iraq war part of war on terror" (March 29) stated in a letter supporting the Iraq war that a previous letter writer had replaced fear with denial. After offering a few weak reasons for starting the war, she listed a number of things that only relate to the clash of cultures in an ever-shrinking world.
