      Rumson breaks out in second half to win SCT
      Bulldogs top Colts Neck 8-6 in final
            As Doug Kennedy saw it, his Rumson-Fair Haven lacrosse team had two advantages in Friday's Shore Conference Tournament final against Colts Neck.       Rhoden, Cox, Smith win Shore track titles
      Monmouth boys finish first
            Red Bank's Kerone Rhoden won the battle and Monmouth Regional's Charles Cox, the war. Rhoden defeated Cox in the highly anticipated 200-meter dash at Saturday's Shore Conference Track and Field Championships at Neptune High School. However, it was Cox who had the final word as he led the Golden Falcons to the Shore title with 74 points.

      Hawks sweep both NEC track and field titles
            The Northeast Conference Track and Field Championships were doubly sweet for Monmouth University. The Hawks hosted the championships (May 5-6) and won both the men's and women's titles. It was a record fourth straight championship for the men, and the women's first since 2004.

      Stripers, blues keeping Shore anglers very busy
            Ro n N uzzolo Fish On The spring striped bass run is in full effect, and local anglers have definitely seen some terrific early season action.       Sports Shorts
            Red Bank Parks and Recreation will co-host an adult co-ed basketball league Tuesday evenings beginning June 19 at Count Basie Park. The game times will run 7:30-9:30 p.m., and the league is open to all Red Bank residents 21 years old and over, and nonresidents are welcome.
